The Beneficiary The New Haven Life Resource Center is a grassroots organization dedicated to providing low income residents the support they need to obtain housing, jobs, and other life necessities. In addition to the traditional services of a shelter, the Center runs job fairs, alcohol and drug recovery support groups, and provides communications resources, and referrals for legal assistance. Funds raised by your tour will support: The Center’s innovative Computer Learning Center, which provide self-paced programs for GED instruction, internet access, and resume writing; and Dress for Success, which offers professional clothing for people interviewing for jobs and entering the workforce. Your Day of Impact Today you will meet some of the greatest success stories in Connecticut: the homeless and formerly homeless who have turned their lives around, thanks to the guidance of the New Haven Life Resource Center. In the morning, take a walking tour of New Haven, given from the perspective of the Center’s clients. At lunch, graduates of the Computer Learning Center will share with you how the Center has changed their lives. In the afternoon, you will tour the facility and work with current clients to help prepare the Center’s expanded facilities for use. Fundraising Requirement: $1,200
