Colonial history, bucolic countryside, and the flowers of springtime come together in this trip along the coastline of southern New England. Your tour begins in New Haven, home of Yale University. (An optional walking tour of Yale is included for those who arrive early). Following your Day of Impact, we will be treated to some of the citys surprising world-class theater. Then its on to some of the oldest towns in the nation: historic Guilford, settled in 1639; Branford, dating to 1644; and Essex, rebuilt after the War of 1812.
Well hop off our bikes for a myriad of activities, such as a boating expedition among the Thimble Islands, some short hikes through the woods, and exclusive tours of historical landmarks. Expect to stay in historical inns, and eat hearty New England fare. Remember, up here its pronounced, Chowdah!
